Jordan Restaurant Association Holds Workshop to Enhance Communication Skills in Tourism Sector

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the efficiency of staff in the tourism restaurant sector, the Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA) organized a specialized training course titled "Effective Communication and Contact Skills in the Tourism Restaurant Sector" in Irbid Governorate.

The course was held at SPARK Restaurant, with the attendance of JRA General Manager Eliana Ja'neini and the association's team. Led by specialized trainer Kifah Khamis, the workshop targeted employees who deal directly with customers, with the aim of strengthening their effective communication skills and improving service levels.

The workshop focused on practical and professional topics, including the impact of professional communication on enhancing the customer experience and reducing operational errors. It also covered emotional intelligence, techniques for handling work pressure and managing emotions, as well as active listening skills and understanding customer personality types. The training featured practical exercises and interactive scenarios designed to boost flexibility and professionalism in customer interactions.

The course received positive feedback from participants, reflecting the clear need and importance of such initiatives in building the capacities of the tourism workforce and enhancing the sector's competitiveness.

In this context, the JRA confirmed that it will continue to implement a series of similar workshops in various governorates across the Kingdom. This commitment ensures the benefits are widespread and that employees in the sector are equipped with the practical skills that contribute to improving the quality of tourism services and raising the level of customer satisfaction.
