The Jordan Restaurant Association (JRA) has successfully concluded an intensive training workshop titled: "The Role of Restaurants in Promoting the Economic Participation of Persons with Disabilities."
The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Women with Disabilities Committee of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), as part of continuous efforts to enhance economic inclusion and empower competencies within the restaurant sector.
Fifteen Human Resources Managers and Administrators from member restaurants participated in the event. Discussions focused on deepening awareness about the importance of creating inclusive and accessible work environments and exploring mechanisms for adopting employment policies that ensure equal opportunities for all, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable sector.
The workshop featured interactive discussions and presentations of successful case studies, emphasizing that economic integration is not just a social responsibility but a smart investment in human capital and a fundamental step in national economic development.
Ms. Eliana Ja’anineh, General Manager of the JRA, stated that this workshop is an extension of the Association's mission to support economic empowerment and promote inclusive practices. She affirmed: "The participation of persons with disabilities in the labor market reflects the values of justice and opens wider horizons for investing in human energies that enrich the tourism and restaurant sector."
The JRA expressed its pride in this fruitful cooperation, confirming its commitment to continue working with partners to enhance inclusive practices and expand the participation of persons with disabilities in the workforce.
