Set in a historical property in the middle of Jabal Amman 1st circle, owned by Ghassan Rihani family members, where they passionately pursued for some 50 years in preserving a private collection of work of arts from different empires passed through the history of Jordan. It all came together, and the family decided to share their passion with the world. Wadi Rihan is brilliantly inspired by the richness of all the cultures coming together and celebrated under a brand. “Wadi Rihan” refers it’s name to a region in Al Hijaz (a region in the west of the present-day Saudi Arabia) from where the owners family Rihani origins. It is also the name of an incredible herb “Basil”, called in Arabic language “Al Rihan”, kwn for its rich and spicy flavour with a trace of mint and clove. Basil belongs to the mint family named “Ocimum Basilicum”, a Greek verb that means “to be fragrant”. Wadi Rihan Main Restaurant: Set in a summer/winter edifice serves Lebanese cuisine in an authentic atmosphere where the Jordanian hospitality and the fine Lebanese cuisine blend together. Live performances by well kwn musicians and the famous hubly bubbly are on hand to add a little more spices to your evening. Basilica Restaurant: Dedicated to the secrets and mysteries flavours of basil in a freshly homemade Italian style menu. The old property was built on a natural cavern discovered in the mid fifties has been transformed into a restaurant named “Basilca”, it’s a Latin word derived from Greek, “Royal, the Tribunal of a King”, in ancient Rome the word Basilica used to describe a Roman public building, The Lounge bar “Bacchus”: A divine inspiration of the Greek God of wine, our barman will transport you in the universe of love and joy. It is specialized in serving mainly, salads, steaks, snacks assortments and many more. The Museum: The beauty of the archaeological findings, the history of the family behind them and the place itself are like a fairytale. It is open only to our customers under reservation with guided tour, whether young or old, and from all walks of life, seemed to perceive the essence of different cultures represented and their interaction.
